He asked me if I heard what sounded like birds chirping. I did not, and chalked it up to my husband loosing his mind earlier then expected (and who would blame him, right?) He said it sounded like it was coming from the vent above the microwave/stove and usually started when he turned on the fan while cooking.

While sitting in my living room this morning, I hear this big THUD above the microwave/stove. The sound of one, if not more, birds trying desperately to get out of an area they don't belong in. As if on queue, my 85 pound German Shepherd chimes in and makes his feelings of disapproval known by barking hysterically. I have birds chirping, a dog barking at a bird chirping, a bird banging itself into the walls. It had to be something out of a comedy movie.

So you might as yourself: "Who would I call to get a bird out of my walls?" No, not Ghostbusters. After Googling just that, I called a local pest place. They do not "do birds". I asked if she knew of anyone that did, she did not.

After another Google search, I found a semi-local company with raving testimonials on their website for the removal of birds in walls. I called and was able to get an apt. in the afternoon.

The "bird man" showed up,and we determined what vent the bird may possibly be flying into. He hoisted up on a ladder against the house and with a camera shoved down the vent, saw only minimal nest making material. He commented multiple times about how it's "early" in the year for birds to be nesting in vents of homes, and I was actually his first "bird" call. One thing I didn't think of to prove that a bird was indeed flying in this vent to make a home, while not paying rent, was bird droppings on the side of the house where the vent is. There was a little, which indicated that the birds hadn't been visiting long. We decided the best course of action would be to put some mesh wiring over the vent and that should be enough to keep it out (there was no evidence that a nest/eggs had been set up yet, therefore trapping potential baby birds).

Within 10 minutes of the bird man leaving, I hear pecking on the side of the house where the vent is. I sneak outside, very quietly, to try to catch said bird in action and sure enough..there was a bird trying to peck through the mesh which is now blocking its attempt at squatting in my walls.

Non-rent paying, squatting birds: 0 Owner of the Big Red House: 1Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-59860193264098885302012-01-09T15:19:00.000-08:002012-01-12T15:41:56.079-08:00And the most awkward kiss of 2011 goes to....

From TLC's The Virgin Diaries. My brain just does NOT shut down at night and I lay there thinking all sorts of things. I had tried Melatonin in the past, went away from it, and just recently I would try this "natural" remedy again. Melatonin, is also not my friend. It's not working. So the past few nights, and I lay in bed trying desperately to shut off the voice in my head, I read. I learn things at all hours of the night that would shock you. Here are a couple of tid bits from my most recent bout of this fabulous problem.

1. Alec Baldwin is back on Twitter (a side note: I don't tweet..it confuses me...but apparently his absence post "Words with Friends/Airplane" freakout) and he was missed by the Twitter community.

2.Justin Bieber got a tattoo of...wait for it...JESUS on the back of his calf. Oh Justin Bieber..why you gotta go all religious on us?

3.A guy who legally changed his name to "Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop" (no, I didn't make that up) was arrest in his home town last week. In my opinion, he's guilty of nothing but an AWESOME name. Then I pondered what you would call him.."Beezow"? "Mr. Bop-Bop?"

4. BEYONCE HAD HER BABY. I mean, really? This is EVERYWHERE on the net. Blue Ivy Carter? Ivy Blue Carter? Either way..that baby is rich, ya'll!

5. After all of this mind numbing information, I resorted to the current book I'm reading, "Summer at Tiffany".Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-34600147075178395702012-01-07T22:34:00.000-08:002012-01-08T09:15:40.340-08:00I'm not a Mac, I'm a PCMac vs. PC....I've been "trained" on PC's, and have played around with some Mac's but have never been too impressed. I never really got the Iphone craze because I've never had one. I've played around with a couple, but I never really saw the difference between them and my fabulous HTC android phone. My phone has the apps. on it I want, it texts and dials phone numbers just fine. Then came...SIRI. When I first saw an ad for Siri before Christmas, I looked at the huband and said "I WANT THAT!!" The Iphone 4GS craze then started. My current cell phone company has finally jumped on board and started offering Iphones. It seemed the writing was on the wall. But I resisted. Yes, the ad with Santa using Siri as his "personal planner" was adorable and I would stop dead in my tracks when it came on, but I didn't want to go through the whole mess of calling my cell phone company, upgrading the phone, agreeing to contracts, etc. Then came...the Ipad2. I've longed for one for a while, not sure how much I may use/benefit from it, but not really expecting to make the jump. Then my husband jumped for the both of us. I have to say, I love it, and as of now I use it a ton. The battery life is awesome, the screen is so clear and fast, and the app store brings me much enjoyment. I read books on it (thank you Kindle app), of course Facebook, and it's so light and easy to travel with. And, it's pretty. While I don't think I would give up my pink Dell laptop for a Mac Airbook, I'm still eying that Iphone...but for now, we are a 1 device (out of many thanks to my husband working in the field) Mac household. For now....Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-90750652085546910002012-01-06T15:10:00.000-08:002012-01-08T09:08:20.014-08:00Oh how you were missed, Casey Anthony...I was, for lack of a better word, obsessed with this trial. My mother in law was visiting from Montana when this first went down in 2008 and as she was watching it unfold on CNN, I became hooked. So when the "trial of the century" came due this year, I was ready. It drug on, days where I didn't worry about watching because I didn't care about the science of bugs that may or may not describe death drug on. Then of course, the infamous "Not Guilty" verdict. Of OJ proportions. I was at the eye Dr. trying on new glasses (my getting older eyes) and my mom texted me. I was so ready to be home and watching the SECOND that verdict was read. People were outraged, death threats ensued. It was mayhem. Then she disappeared. Just like that. Recently, a video has been uncovered of her, and she's as bat shit crazy as she's always been. Talking about how she doesn't like to be on camera, but will continue to do video diaries (bi-polar much?), her glasses are too big for her face, and she's obviously wearing a wig. There are also reports she has a boyfriend, a cell phone (gasp!!), and a job? What I want to know is, how does it feel to be the most hated girl in America Miss Anthony? Now back to our regular scheduled programming.Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-86347631470610489692012-01-05T17:39:00.000-08:002012-01-05T18:00:40.910-08:00Resolutions....or lack there ofYes, I know they're all over the web right now. People making promises to themselves as to how they'll "better" themselves this year. What they can do "differently", or "better". *DISCLAIMER* I do not like, nor participate in, such New Years Resolutions. My feeling is you can make resolutions at any point in the year. Going to loose all that weight magically starting Jan. 1st? Really? I don't think I'm aware of one person I know who is able to keep a resolution they make for a full 12 months. I have things I want to do, but WILL do, instead of "resolve" to do. Some I may get to, some I may not. But these ideas were in this small brain of mine plenty before Dick Clark (bless his heart) counted down the last 17 seconds of 2011, all be it 1 second behind thanks to his previous stroke. For your visual entertainment:

1. As stated earlier, participate in Blog365. My sister in law laid down the challenge, I accepted..so here we are

2. Travel. While there are places on the "long term" bucket list that will remain, a couple of places I'd REALLY like to aim for this year. They include: the Oregon Coast (as is tradition with me and the husband on our anniversary come July), Montana? (the in laws live there), maybe Victoria, BC? Note to self: must now have passport.

3. Keep those close, closer. (aka: try to be a more improved friend) Make time, go out of my way, etc.

4. Put more money away. People always want to do this, and I'm pretty good at it for the most part...but I could def. do better (and this would help with number 2)

5. Take more time to enjoy the "little" things. Also, something I think people/me should be doing all of the time. While pregnant with Amelia, I HATED hearing "it goes by so fast". Sadly, it's true. I need to be a more patient parent, and laugh a little more about being dead smack in the middle of the "trying 4's"

So there you have it. I hope to be able to post, at some point throughout the year, about checking any/all of these off. It would make me feel like I'm doing something with myself, other then just "being".

"With the past, I have nothing to do; nor with the future. The Amelia J family is still here. Life just got, well, busy. Mommy forgot to blog. I've been asked if I'm going to "re-start" the blog for a while, and always answered "yeah yeah". Well...Christmas 2010 came a friendly "wager", if you will, from sister in law Christie. She has participated in Blog365 once before, and challenged me to jump on board. Why not..as I've spent the past 30 min. reading through old blog posts, I'm missing out on writing down and documenting life! I'm thinking about starting another blog, and switching between the 2, but none the less..I take the "blog365 challenge of 2012" on! Plus, I'm thinking a handsome "reward" will be in order for me at the end...Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-3217791867278179982010-12-31T21:19:00.000-08:002010-12-31T21:21:48.727-08:00Christmas 2010
Get the flash player here: http://www.adobe.com/flashplayer
Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-9282002965097435972010-08-03T19:07:00.000-07:002010-08-03T19:10:00.106-07:00This girl knows her Yo Gabba Gabba.....As I've said before, Miss Amels happens to have a new love...called Yo Gabba Gabba. She requests it daily, and we're now finding that watching the same DVRed show over and over, the child learns something. The other night Aunt Christie and cousin Henry came over at night. Miss Amels was more then happy to get out of bed to great her cousin, and teach him the Yo Gabba Gabba way....thankfully Aunt Christie whipped out the camera and caught this gem.

Sleep assistance from Yo Gabba Gabba from Christie Glynn on Vimeo.
Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-3072996555105474042010-07-25T13:13:00.000-07:002010-07-25T13:52:54.625-07:00A Saturday Old Fashioned Festival StoryHere where I live, it's a small town. Every year, this adorable town puts on an adorable 4 day festival called "the Old Fashioned Festival." They have rides, elephant ears, vendors, a children's parade, a crowning of a queen (yes, there is a court and yes, I'm grooming Amelia to be on it one day). Saturday tends to be the day of BIG events. An early morning parade, a break in the action to ride the rides and eat great local food, then the night is topped off with a crazy expensive 20 minute fireworks show (this, I don't mind my tax dollars going to!). We have gone to the parade the past 2 years, and the fireworks since we've lived here, so that's 4 years. It's tradition people, and I love it. It seems the whole town comes out for the fireworks and while the husband may not appreciate the high school reunion of people he runs into, I enjoy the kids running around the field, dancing to the band with the glow in the dark necklaces waiting for the fireworks, with the background noise of high school kids screaming on overpriced rides. The weather being perfect (mid 60's at night, little hot for the parade reaching around 90, but we managed)...made for a perfect, family and friends Sat. Or just couldn't wait to see (because of course our parents didn't have DVR's so we HAD to wait for the actual time the show came on)? No one said marriage would be easy, and with ups and downs we're still alive and kickin. It's amazing to me that the "D" word has never entered my household. Makes me a lucky girl. I know people younger then me that are divorced, so 5 years to me (and others I've learned) is one heck of a big deal.

We had to for-go our annual 5 day trip to the beach due to Miss Amels having no one to hang out with her! She usually goes to Nana and Hampa's, but this year they happened to be out of town. Could she have gone with us? Yes. Would it have been a vacation? No. So we decided we'll go sometime in September, which actually mirrors our actual wedding year, when we took a "mini-moon" to the Oregon Coast after our wedding and then took our "Actual" honeymoon to Maui the following September.

We still took Friday off from work, boy did we both need it! Miss Amels still went to daycare, because we pay whether she's there or not and they were going to the water park so who am I to stop her from that?? We had some coffee and I went and pampered myself with a pedicure from a gift card I got for my birthday back in April. Best. Pedicure. Ever. It was that, or it's been so long anything would have done. I now have pretty pink, neon toes that Miss Amels loves pointing out every time she remembers.

We then went to see Toy Story 3, which disturbed me. I know everyone I've talked to likes it, but Nick and I thought it was dark and sad. As most people I've talked to said, I cried at the end. The theater was nice and quiet, as we figured a 12:50pm show on a Friday would be. The jury is out on whether we'll take Miss Amels. She loves the first 2, but I can see where she might find this one a little scary.

We then went to dinner, which was nice. We actually didn't talk at first, I think because we've almost forgotten what it's like to have "alone, adult" time and not talk about the kid, or our day at work. We finally got goin and enjoyed dinner. The day before I stopped by Piece of Cake, the most amazing cake place ever (thanks to my sister in law's recommendation) that did our wedding cake. Our 1 year anniversary, we were able to bring in a picture of our cake and get a replica of the top layer made. Every year since, I've gone in and purchased 2 slices of cake for us to enjoy on our anniversary. As I walked in on Thursday afternoon, I saw that fate had hit me. There in the display case, was a 1 layer (not 2 like we got before) replica cake of our 1 year anniversary. Sold. I got the cake, which was probably more sentimental for me, but good none the less. Miss Amels loved it, and constantly asked for "bigger" pieces of frosting, which is all she ate. Thank goodness we have a fellow Piece of Cake lover in the house so young. More excuses to go back!

We weren't good about "gifts" this year in regards to waiting until the actual day. We had said no gifts at first, but this is not in my vocabulary. I looked up the "traditional" gift for 5 years, which is wood. Nick thought he'd be "cute" and say that wood could be an IOU, or a card...which at one point was wood. He got the look of "won't fly buddy". I think we treat our anniversary more like Christmas sometimes. I was due for an upgrade to my cell phone and got a steller deal on an awesome phone. On my materialistic side, I've always craved a pair of Coach sunglasses. I have a great pair of Ray Bans that were a wedding present I bought myself 3 days before my wedding. So I went to the Coach outlet in Woodburn (it's such a pain living so close!!) and now they adorn my happy little face.

I had an alternate idea for the husband when he threw me for a loop (I should have known) I had been saving up some money for some time and he starts showing me how our poor bb-que is dying. We thought about it, and we've had that thing since we lived in our apartment, some 7 years ago. Yes, it was time...anyone that knows my husband knows he's a huge bb-quer. His own rubs on ribs, 8 hour marinades (I called it a soak before and was corrected), his own sauce for chicken...you'd think we lived in the south. BB-queing is important to this man and of course, so is his "instrument". We spent a day a couple of weekends ago looking for a pool for Miss Amels (with no luck) but stumbled across THE BBQUE at Fred Meyer. I got the full tour and then I knew, he had to have it. He works so hard, and we rarely reward ourselves, so it was done. I found somewhere that was cheaper then Fred Meyer, had to have it delivered and finally with the help of a friends brother, it was delivered Thursday night (close enough to Friday, right?) He was like a kid in a candy store putting it together Thursday night and of course we had steak and chicken on it last night. AND, in sticking with tradition, it's a duel grill. 1/2 gas and 1/2 charcoal, or WOOD....damn I'm good.

All in all, the past 5 years and been the best, at times, and some of the worst, in my life. I wouldn't trade a minute of it and am fully looking forward to the next 5, 10, 15 and so on....really I'm just lucky to find someone to put up with me as long as he has...One lucky girl I am.

Came home from my pedicure to this:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6AK3QTCFJtY/TEMTidmhUyI/AAAAAAAAAf0/NtfMJET0fzI/s320/P7160009.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495257453104812834" />

Happy Mama:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6AK3QTCFJtY/TEMTiybw35I/AAAAAAAAAf8/_CjVVQaTWqw/s320/P7160010.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495257458696839058" />

Happy Daddy:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6AK3QTCFJtY/TEMTjbJoR3I/AAAAAAAAAgE/ynI7sYy1vbU/s320/P7160013.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495257469626632050" />Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-41684029341845766022010-07-05T17:09:00.000-07:002010-07-05T17:14:21.582-07:00The annual 4th of July Glynn family bb-que and fireworks show.The annual Glynn family 2010 4th of July bb-que and fireworks show was a shit. Amazing ribs from the husband, my own fruit pizza with local berries, a great fireworks show thanks to the neighbors and their money, friends, beer, family, and tons of laughs. A great time was had by all and it will be hard to follow up next year! We haven't given up on said garden, but not much survived "the flood" so we're making due with what we have. Some pumpkins, corn, maybe one tomato and peppers. So sad...next year we already have a good game plan!

Onto 3 day weekends (hooray!). Today was a busy shopping/cleaning day as Miss Amels is back from 5 days at Nana and Hampa's due to our sitter being out of town. Tomorrow is our annual 4th of July bb-que extravaganza. The husband soaks ribs, in his own homemade marinade, for 8 hours, then bb-ques them. I make a fruit pizza and people bring their yummy salads. We sit out back, drink, talk and be merry. Then fireworks in the front of the house at night. It's great to be a home owner, and as always, I'm fortunate to all that are fighting for my freedom! Let it ring!Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-1329722478681678372010-06-29T22:00:00.000-07:002010-06-29T22:12:32.690-07:00This house is too quiet.....At Miss Amels daycare/preschool, our providers allows themselves 1 week unpaid to take vacation. They have 3 kids of her own, all boys and under the age of 3, so I think they are allowed. This happened to be the week. Nana and Hampa were having Miss Amels withdraws as it was, so the timing was perfect. We did the "go to mommy's work" swap yesterday and Miss Amels was on her way with Nana. Today is my brothers 27th birthday, and I received a phone report from Miss Amels that on "Happy birthday Buddy Day" (buddy being my brothers nick name-not uncle...), they went to "re robin". While at "re robin", the bird himself made an appearance. And she had chicken, and dip. The kid loves dip. Dip, of course, being ranch or any side condiment. Miss Amels was not up for going too close to the bird, but had a lot to say about him.

I also got a picture on my camera of Miss Amels helping Nana to make cookies. Nana and Hampa were kind enough to take her until Friday, giving daddy and I time to not only sleep with no monitor, but clean the house thoroughly for our annual 4th of July bb-que/fireworks show. It's amazing how much easier it is to clean without a 2 1/2 year old under foot. We will have the usual 8 hour, soaked in home made marinade, this stuff could win a competition, ribs. Add chicken, home made fruit pizza and beer, and you have a complete down home American meal.

As of early June, we've been living in our house 4 years, and we have some friends coming over that have never seen our casa. I love showing off the house. While it has much work to be done (it was only a year when we bought it, but new couches, a screen door, more of a porch in the back yard, a table/chair set for our front porch to drink tea at on a hot summer night, and other regular home owner things are to be desired), I'm still proud of what we work hard for every month. It's a damn cute house people, and we're proud! Seeing as how I'll probably be buried in the backyard, it's nice to show people where they can come pay their respects.

Until then...this house is quiet. Almost too quiet. 3 days and Miss Amels, her laughter, singing and gabbing returns.Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-76515801582359057092010-06-28T10:00:00.000-07:002010-06-28T10:00:03.161-07:00Bedtime and...."the shadows".....Bedtime has never been an issue for us. Miss Amels has slept through the night since she was 4 months old, less her teething phase when she would get up maybe once a night. We were greatful and blessed, knowing this wasn't the norm with newborns, but didn't say anything twice about as not to jinx it. Maybe I should have said/bragged more...

Within the last couple of months, Miss Amels has learned to open doors. We were the prepared parents and had the "locks" for the doors. With one "pop", they were on and we thought we were safe, to not have her come out until we would get her. We were then reminded what kind of rookie parents we are.

Miss Amels instantly broke off the door handle protectors within 2 seconds and it got so ridiculous, we quit putting them on. Since then, we've put up with her getting out of bed at least 2-5 times and standing at the top of the stairs with a pathetic whine until she could stall 5 more minutes out of bed time.

She also started visiting us in our bedroom. We've never been co-sleepers. Our bed was our bed, our space. Her bed was hers and we've had this mutual respect since she was born. About 2 months ago I feel someone rubbing my hand, wake up and find my hand hanging over my bed, with Miss Amels gently rubbing it and standing there smiling, at 6am. As if I should know it's time to get up and play. She's also found if she doesn't feel good, or if I'm just in a sappy, half asleep state of mind at 2am, she can wander in and I'll scoop her up and have her fall asleep right dab smack in the middle of the husband and I. Man she's got us figured out, all at the tender age of 2 1/2.

The last couple of nights, the new either a. scare, or b. stall tactic is "shadows". In fairness, the kid has shadows in her room. Who doesn't. Tonight I tried to explain how shadows are good, and they're watching over her to make sure she has good dreams. Then she would come back with "mommy the shadows scare me." Broke my heart. So back and forth we go. Up and down the stairs. The husband is currently on his 5th trip (I think) up/down the stairs and we've given up trying to watch the second half of Shutter Island. I'm sure in the next 5 minutes we'll hear the little pitter patter coming down the stairs with a new dissertation on the shadows in her room, and why she just can't fall asleep for another 5 minutes. And I know....this is just the beginning....Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-56279866321902638052010-06-27T08:40:00.001-07:002010-06-27T08:50:51.527-07:00Cooking, watering flowrers and all around happiness...This week we got to watering the flowers. The weather has FINALLY shown up in summer form and the flowers need a good drink at the end of the day. Miss Amels is happy to help with this chore. While not doing that, I decided I REALLY wanted to cook something new/fantastic (Nick does the majority of the cooking, he likes to so who am I to say no?) I made an amazing sausage and penne marinara. It was a hit, even to the picky husband eater!

This week, Miss Amels gets the pleasure of being and Nana and Hampa's. My sitter is gone in Utah and they gladly stepped in to be replacements. We thank them. So now we have time to fully CLEAN the house before our annual 4th of July fireworks bbque/show. I will say after the first couple of days, the house will be quiet when I come home from work (other then Nick playing his games, I'm sure).

I also must say I'm quite disappointed in my recent discovery of my lack of tolerance to drinking. A girlfriend of mine that I've know for about 13 years had a birthday party last night. She came to my surprise party in April, and I was delighted to see her for the first time in 10 years. We were inseperable (just like last night). I got myself a 6 pack of Coores Light and figured I'd have a couple and be ok to drive home. 2 beers later and I was feeling good....Obviously, gone are the days were 2 beers were as good as a glass of water. Oh college...my liver misses thy.

Pictures of the most fabulous dinner (with chocolate chip cookies assisted by Miss Amels) and help with watering, follow....

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6AK3QTCFJtY/TCdyukQLQlI/AAAAAAAAAfM/YsCq3G1e7C8/s320/P6130003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487480815305310802" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6AK3QTCFJtY/TCdyvG8sCFI/AAAAAAAAAfU/_JNPcRaZnpM/s320/P6130005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487480824618813522" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6AK3QTCFJtY/TCdyuGJA5KI/AAAAAAAAAfE/foUej61avB8/s320/P6240021.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487480807222207650" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_6AK3QTCFJtY/TCdyt2C_8BI/AAAAAAAAAe8/_8veJ_1-re8/s320/P6240020.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487480802902011922" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_6AK3QTCFJtY/TCdyte2k3fI/AAAAAAAAAe0/BC0ZL7cCxCw/s320/P6240018.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487480796675890674" />Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-56182233828120702402010-06-24T19:51:00.001-07:002010-06-27T08:39:31.825-07:00Happy birthday daddy's day dinner....Amelia has dubbed Fathers Day "Happy birthday daddy's day." While trying to record her sweet little voice saying "Happy Daddy's Day" into a card, she came up with the above phrase instead. It stuck. From now on, in the Glynn household, I hereby declare "Happy Daddy's Day." In honor of this day, mommy made daddy one of his favorite dishes. His mom's home made Manacotti with french bread and home made chocolate chip cookies. Amels helped with the cookies, and snuck in a few chocolate chips. I thought I had pictures of this and it turns out I don't. Be jealous, it was good!Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-42611636570864136042010-06-20T13:57:00.000-07:002010-06-20T17:48:44.241-07:00Just a typical Saturday morning....
Cooking with daddy. from Megan Glynn on Vimeo.
Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3569430938528509230.post-38401392264448636152010-06-20T13:41:00.001-07:002010-06-20T13:44:56.625-07:00Sometimes....You're just too tired to try to make it to nap time. This we know so far:

We've lost: cucumbers, zucchini, cantelopes, at least 2 tomato's, the mini jack-o-lanterns.

What survived: corn, big pumpkins, our 4 different types of peppers, and at least 2 tomato plants.

We did see the sparkle of a watermelon plant today, so that might have made it! We'll replant the cucumbers and zucchini's in the next week. Thankfully they grow pretty quick so we'll be able to enjoy them over the summer. I skipped last week's pictures because there wasn't much to show, but here is this week....

Get the flash player here: http://www.adobe.com/flashplayer
Miss Amelia Jane.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10373497011737640507noreply@blogger.com1
