And with more snow....we go...or don't. We don't go anywhere

In true document form, more pictures from the past 2 days. We had an "unofficial" reading of 16 inch. in our back yard, tree's are now MIA and my car hasn't been seen in a week. Happy eve of Christmas Eve!
Our lawn lights are now snow illuminators

My poor car!

1 1/2 weeks in the house, cabin fever some might say? Not us! We have a 1 year old to keep us occupied, and that she's done. Bless her heart.

A pigtail story...

Mommy gave me my first pigtail today. She says my hair is long enough, but still a little thin. Either way, it didn't bother me much. I just went about my business.
Running and clapping
Singing to daddy
Yeah mom?
Caught!
"Mom, can I open just one? I've been looking
at them for so long!" (don't worry, I didn't let her!)

A snow story...

We've had 8-10 inches of snow in the past 2 days. For Oregon, that's crazy. This is a progression of the snowfall over the past 2 days. Dec. 19-20,2008. "Arctic Blast, 2008"-as the new stations dubbed it.

First snow day!

Well, we've been getting snow for the past 3 days, but this was the day that hasn't stopped snowing since 8am this morning. We found this a great time to subject Miss Amels to the cold/snow. Oh, and Autzen liked it too. Must be those German genes.

"Um what is this?"

Amelia one year old...and the good stuff that comes with it!

Well we did it. A successful first birthday party! Miss Amelia jumped into turning one by walking. It's now her primary mode of transportation. She can not go anywhere without walking! She's getting good at stopping and turning fast without falling over. We had her 1 year check up last Friday. Her stats:
Height=31 1/4 inches. 95%
Weight=21 pds. 8 oz. 55%

Of course I'm biased...but she's doing wonderfully. She talks all the time (I have no clue where she gets that from!) and seems to be making up for the past 12 months of not talking. She reads to mommy and daddy, and sings. We set up our Christmas tree a couple of days ago and so far she's only interested in it when I'm holding her. Amelia's aunt Laurie also got her a really pretty pink Christmas tree for her room. I never had my own Christmas tree in my room! She loves it, as we put ornaments on it tonight. We also have had some pretty severe weather, including snow. While we didn't take her out during the snow, we had her go outside today, in 25 degree weather, to check out the snow. We are being told by local weather people that we're to expect 2-6 inches on Weds. If this falls true, we will be sure to have Miss Amels expirence it first hand! Now for pictures!
